Story From the Day:

I started out the day wanting to prayer-walk a specific apartment complex. I had done a Discovery Bible Study with a friend who lived there and he said it was a pretty rough area, with the police visiting pretty much every night for one reason or another.

There was a couple sitting outside on the far side of the road where I was walking. I had intended to wait until I circled the complex before offering to pray for them, but the guy hollered out "Hey buddy, do you have a cigarette?"

I took that as a cue to walk over and chat. (Aside: I did not have a cigarette. :) After a little small talk I asked if they had anything I could pray about, and the guy said: "A whole bunch."  So I sat down and listened.  It was about an hour conversation all about the hardships he and she were facing, his addictions (he was drinking a beer at 9AM), and their spiritual beliefs. At one point I was able to share the Gospel with them using the 3 Circles.

I found out God had already been working: They had just had a spiritual conversation the night before between them and 3 other people in the apartment. And, they both had a desire for more spiritually, but felt that, without a way to "get to church" they couldn't do anything else.

I offered to come back and teach them how to learn from God's word for themselves. They were both interested! She said: "I would really like that."  Before I left, one of those friends came over, and I got permission to capture this interaction: (This is about as real as it gets).
